Exam Grade


This Module, helps to create and Define and manage exam grade for different minimum & maximum percentage and use it in report cards etc. Here you can set new grade boundaries each time a new exam or assessment is completed. They indicate the minimum number of marks students need to achieve in a particular Exam. The information below explains how we do this.


To Add New Exam Grade:

Click on ‘Add New’ tab to add a new Exam Grade, refer figure:11, a screen will be displayed, refer figure:12, enter the data in respective form fields.

Name: Enter a name for the Exam Grade

Description: It is to give description to the Exam Grade, in detail. If this field is left empty, in the data table view, the description column will be empty, refer figure:13. This field is optional.


Note: If you have no Grade Type to add, click the close icon Closing Exam Grade:, which is present right beside the Name , refer figure 12.


Grade Range: Enter Grade Type for the Exam Grade .It used to manage and give exam grade for different minimum & maximum percentage and use it in report cards etc.

Name: Enter a name for the Grade type example : A+,B+,…etc.

Minimum Marks: Enter Minimum marks for grade type.

Maximum Marks: Enter Maximum marks for grade type.

“The Maximum Percentage must be greater than Minimum Percentage."

Description: It is to give description to the grade type, in detail. If this field is left empty, in the data table view, description column will be empty, refer figure:13. This field is optional.


If the Grade Type is more than one type ex: grade in a report card , A+,B+ …….or any more, click Form Fields Description to Add New Grade Range, and another line of same fields as above, will be added underneath. Fill the required fields in form-group section and save.


After the required information is entered, click ‘Save’, “Exam Grade Added", green popup screen will be displayed on the bottom right hand side of the screen.

Once the Exam Grade is saved, all the added Exam Grades, information can be viewed at one place, at front–end, in data table list View, refer figure:13 – Data table View.

Add New Exam Grade Tab

If you have already added an Exam Grade, from the middle of the screen, the “Add New tab”, will get shifted to the top-right hand side, of the page title bar – “Add New Exam Grade”, and Data Table View is displayed with different columns of data.


Edit Exam Grade

To edit the existing Exam Grade, click Edit Exam Grade icon and a screen will be displayed to the Edit Exam Grade. Fill the required information, to do the changes to the form fields. Once done, click ‘update’, to save the changes. “Exam Grade updated”, green popup notification will be displayed on the bottom right hand side of the screen.


Delete Exam Grade

To delete , the saved Exam Grade, click delete Delete Exam Grade icon and a pop up screen comes up, asking for your confirmation Delete Exam Grade to proceed with the request, click, continue, to delete the data or click close to go back to the data table view. Data will get deleted from the database and it cannot be retrieved again.

You can use, Sort By List and more options - Print and Generate PDF, to view and print, the displayed data table, according to your requirements.
